Karatu Coffee Factory was founded in 1965 in Kenya's Central Province, and it serves farmers from the Karatu, Gitwe, Kibiru, and Kigaa villages. The coffee trees grown here grow alongside banana and maize, as well as macadamia trees that provide shade.
This particular Peaberry lot boasts an extremely dense sweetness and a sparkling acidity exhibiting flavors reminiscent of juicy red grapefruit, ripe papaya, and green grapes. Cheers!
