What's Happening

'Tis the Season for a Gesha

The contents of this box include the fundamentals for the perfect coffee experience. We are proud to bring you the best quality, design and products possible. Our goal at Coffee & Tea Collective has always been to source, roast and serve outstanding single origin coffees. This year we want to share something special.

Gesha is an ancient Ethiopian varietal that found its way to Central America during the 1960s, but wasn't widely cultivated because of its high maintenance costs and low crop yield. With the increased desire for traceability and responsible sourcing in the specialty coffee market, the Gesha has become one of the most sought-after and highly-valued coffees.
This washed Guatemala, Acatenango, Gesha is a perfect example of how the varietal of coffee has an intrinsic effect on the complexity
of each brewed cup. We think this cup stands out among the Gesha varietal while highlighting characteristics that we love about coffee from Acatenango. Its intoxicatingly floral and ripe strawberry aroma lead into a sparkling orange acidity and creamy mouthfeel. Flavors of nougat, tropical fruit, lime, jasmine flower and honeysuckle finish with a pleasant lingering sweetness that evokes desire for a second cup.
